The Authority of Christ In Us!
“When God disarmed the principalities and the authorities HE made them an example, exposing them publicly, when He triumphed over them through Him, Messiah.” Colossians 2:15 One New Man Bible
The word “disarmed” literally means “stripped”. It was a term used to depict what the Romans did to their captives who had high rank; they would shame them and parade them through Rome and this is how Paul described what he had been given revelation about. The words that are often used is “spoil” and the Greek definition at the root of what is meant literally means to take off like as in clothing “to strip” off.
Kat Kerr a modern day revelator like John who wrote not only the books of John but of Revelation, shared that one of the things the Father showed her was what happened when Jesus was gone for 3 days. Part of that had to do with Jesus, on the 3rd day, literally stripped satan of his jewels he had on his wings, (Ezekiel 28:13-17 “13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, the carnelian, topaz, jasper, chrysolite, beryl, onyx, sapphire, carbuncle, and emerald; and your settings and your sockets and engravings were wrought in gold. On the day that you were created they were prepared. 14 You were the anointed cherub that covers with overshadowing [wings], and I set you so. You were upon the holy mountain of God; you walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire [like the paved work of gleaming sapphire stone upon which the God of Israel walked on Mount Sinai]. 15 You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created until iniquity and guilt were found in you. 16 Through the abundance of your commerce you were filled with lawlessness and violence, and you sinned; therefore I cast you out as a profane thing from the mountain of God and the guardian cherub drove you out from the midst of the stones of fire. 17 Your heart was proud and lifted up because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I lay you before kings, that they might gaze at you.”)
Side Note: Tyre was evil and obviously led BY the evil one as in verse 12 the Lord tells him he had all kinds of things given to him like wisdom etc. And apparently from the rest of the scripture it is obvious that the king of Tyre was led by the enemy into things. Remember, the LORD uses people for His work, and the counterfeit father of lies also uses people for his evil deeds!
Satan’s name changed from Lucifer to satan when he fell from heaven.
The Fall of Lucifer
12 “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer,[b] son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! 13 For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ 15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit. 16 “Those who see you will gaze at you, And consider you, saying: ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms, 17 Who made the world as a wilderness And destroyed its cities, Who did not open the house of his prisoners?’
Hebrew for fallen (naphal) also means to be judged and cut down (gada) is like a tree that is cut and destroyed.
Lucifer’s name was day star also referred to as Bright Morning Star, probably because of the description of his appearance in Ezekiel.
UNTIL JESUS “stripped” him! Stripped him of his appearance AND of his power over the earth and over humans. He did it in front of all the demons, principalities and wicked ruling spirits… (RE: authority over… “17 [For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him, 18 By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones), 19 And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength, 20 Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places], 21 Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come. 22 And He has put all things under His feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church [a headship exercised throughout the church], 23 Which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all [for in that body lives the full measure of Him Who makes everything complete, and Who fills everything everywhere with Himself].”) Ephesians 1:17-23 AMP
Where we too are seated see Ephesians 2:5-6
“6 And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One). 7 He did this that He might clearly demonstrate through the ages to come the immeasurable (limitless, surpassing) riches of His free grace (His unmerited favor) in [His] kindness and goodness of heart toward us in Christ Jesus.”
JESUS has given us His authority over the enemy to strip away the power that he exerts on this earth… Luke 10:19 “19 Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.”
Trample…tread, hit, strike are all the definitions of “trample upon serpents and scorpions”.
Snake= ophis which means a malicious person satan
Scorpion= skopos in the Greek has to do with skeptics…ie. the devil.
Does this sound like “defense”? NO!! THIS is an offensive maneuver….in other words, he gets in the way, strike him down as he has NO defense against the Son or Daughter of the MOST HIGH GOD!
THIS Beloved is WHY we CAN “STRIP THE POWER OF DARKNESS” over a person or place or thing and RELEASE the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN to invade! Release THE Anointing to “BREAK” the yokes of darkness! AND….since angels and hosts of heaven are here to HELP us…..we can agree with our Heavenly Father WHO WANTS HIS KINGDOM MADE MANIFEST UPON EARTH….like it is IN Heaven…we can release the Angel armies and Hosts of Heaven to smash strongholds over people, places and things!
We are meant to DO exactly what our Beloved JESUS DID…HE said it…
John 14:12 “12 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.”
JESUS told ALL His disciples to “go into all the world” DO what HE DID and that includes you and me beloved right here, right now!
SO, when you see and/or hear of something that is of the kingdom of darkness you and I have two responses to choose from, much like the choice in the garden….to eat of the Tree of Life, releasing life…OR eat of the tree of good and evil, eating the fruit of death and destruction… remember what you SPEAK you give life too!
Make sure that you are ON the same page as the WILL of our Heavenly Father…JESUS, THE perfect representation of our Heavenly Father NEVER blessed destruction NOR did He ever display or talk about fearing the evil one….He never allowed sickness or diseases to “stay” on a person HE was in contact with and HE was always full of Joy, Love, Faith, Peace and believe me NO ONE had ever seen such a Person before and Beloved…WE are supposed to LOOK LIKE HIM!
