What is the Heart?

What is the Heart?

This morning as I was pondering things with Holy Spirit it occurred to me… the brain could stop and the body will go on but if the heart or when the heart stops…NOTHING goes on, it ends.

If the heart is that important to our natural body, how much more important is it to our soul?

What is in the heart flows out as things flow in. The blood pumps into the heart and it pumps out of it.

Same thing with our soul heart…things go in and things go out.

If bad things go into the blood and then into the natural heart, it “clogs” it up, right? When bad things go into us through our gates of eyes and ears then it “clogs” up our soul meaning?

Like the heart in the natural body…when there is a clot or where its clogged we know that as a “clot” then the lungs won’t function properly. In fact, nothing will. It begins to manifest in different area of the body causing illness to happen.

Its no different with our soul heart. What is our “soul heart”? Actually our soul is our heart… its the mind, will and emotions of our person, it makes up who we are as a personality.

The natural heart makes up the main-function of the entire body as well. Its the central point and most hidden.

Its under the rib cage under skin, its a muscle and it both delivers blood to the body through circulation and receives it as well. There are many areas to go into how amazing the natural heart is, for sure… “fearfully wonderfully made” as the Psalmist David wrote in Psalms 139!

So is the soul!

The lungs in the body are part of the clean up crew sort of, the take in the carobon dioxide and we exhale it out and receive fresh air in. The blood supply brings it in and we breath out and new things are created inside…. in a manner of speaking. Like a regeneration.

So if we inhale bad things into our soul that affects our “heart” (mind, will and emotion) what will we then exhale?

We have to be intentional about what it is we allow into our hearts the same as things we eat physically that can affect our natural hearts.

Being sedentary is not good for the heart since its a muscle nor is it good for our souls to be “complacent” as in “sedentary” not allowing GOD to spill out His love in and through us however HE wants. Its why we need to learn His voice and know Him above all others, so we are not fooled or tricked by the enemy into some type of deception filled with lies! Remember he only comes to steal, kill and destroy! THAT is his MO and always has been since the beginning of time!

So, what are you feeding your soul today? What are you feeding your body? The body is the Temple of the LORD and when our soul prospers we are in good health as well. It’s difficult to be mindful of what is going into the soul without thinking about how we treat our body. And it should be that we are just as mindful to take  care of the soul as we are our body!

When you choose good things to eat today…. remember to feed your soul good things as well! YOU want things to circulate properly IN your body, don’t we need things to “circulate” properly in the BODY of Christ? YES!

AH… this means we are affecting one another then…. YES!!! NOW… we are learning!

Jesus said this…“34 So I give you now a new[a] commandment: Love each other just as much as I have loved you. 35 For when you demonstrate the same love I have for you by loving one another, everyone will know that you’re my true followers.

We had the commandment to love GOD above all others and then to love each other and ourselves but ….(from the footnote for [a]) Jesus now gives the commandment to use His standard of love for us as the true measurement of love as we care for one another.

Taking care of YOU is taking care of me! Me taking care of me is taking care of YOU! Remember when Jesus said this:

“31 ‘When the Son of Man appears in his majestic glory, with all his angels by his side, he will take his seat on his throne of splendor, 32 and all the nations will be gathered together before him.[a] And like a shepherd who separates the sheep from the goats, he will separate all the people. 33 The ‘sheep’ he will put on his right side and the ‘goats’ on his left. 34 Then the King will turn to those on his right and say, ‘You have a special place in my Father’s heart. Come and experience the full inheritance of the kingdom realm that has been destined for you from before the foundation[b] of the world! 35 For when you saw me hungry, you fed me. When you found me thirsty, you gave me drink. When I had no place to stay, you invited me in, 36 and when I was poorly clothed, you covered me. When I was sick, you tenderly cared for me, and when I was in prison you visited me.’ 37 ‘Then the godly will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty and give you food and something to drink? 38 When did we see you with no place to stay and invite you in? When did we see you poorly clothed and cover you? 39 When did we see you sick and tenderly care for you, or in prison and visit you?’  40 “And the King will answer them, ‘Don’t you know? When you cared for one of the least of these, my little ones, my true brothers and sisters, you demonstrated love for me.’”

We must remember and be mindful the things we do…doesn’t just affect us or even just the ones in our personal sphere of influence but all the body of Christ! Why? Jesus said we have done it unto HIM and we as HIS body are part of HIM! He is the head and we are seated with HIM in Heavenly places beloved ones! (See Ephesians 2:6)

Let’s allow HIS living WORD to speak to our hearts and for some who have or feel they have never heard Him speak to them… I pray as you study this message and passages of scripture that you will begin to “hear” Him, not just try to mentally ascend in understanding but “in your heart”. You will know when it happens and for now… let HIS living word do this… we all need to do this> “For we have the living Word of God, which is full of energy, like a two-mouthed sword. It will even penetrate to the very core of our being where soul and spirit, bone and marrow meet! It interprets and reveals the true thoughts and secret motives of our hearts.” Hebrews 4:12 TPT

THIS place is where we learn what is “of God” and what “is not”. TRUTH…sets free beloved! Confession with our mouths in the areas we believed lies is like the lungs exhaling the carbon dioxide, and repentance (a mindset to allow change come in and follow the truth instead of the lies) is like our physical hearts receiving fresh blood and in the blood there is LIFE!

Jesus offended a great many religious people when HE said to eat His flesh and drink His blood because in the laws of Moses in Deuteronomy 12 (and mentioned in Lev. 17) it was forbidden by GOD to do that! What then was JESUS saying?

Read John 6:22-65 carefully. That is the homework for this message beloved. Remember OUR hearts are found IN Him and OUR hearts together make up His body. Are we caring for each other and honoring Him by caring for what goes into our “heart”?

Love and blessings to each of you… shalom ya’ll!
