END TIME DECEPTION and KINGDOM TRUTH!
So many people as in Peter and John’s day are thinking “this is it”, get ready the rapture is coming!
I have often pondered about the “great falling away” and have come to see it is because things didn’t work out the “way” people THOUGHT or perceived it would!
I want to challenge the thinking of focusing upon rapture and end times because JESUS never said to “preach end times”…He never said… “dwell upon rapture” and make a message out of it! HE never told them to “focus on bad things going on around them”! NO…JESUS NEVER did any of those things but many leaders ARE doing just that along with many in the body of Christ! (Notice I said “focusing”).
Beloved…this ought not be!
So…why would so many jump on this whole… “we’re getting out of here because things are getting bad” ban wagon mentality? Jesus never did that! HE faced things head on…remember beloved ones, HE… IS our primary example to live by!
Look at this…
John 12:27-31 “27 “Now My soul is troubled and deeply distressed; what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour [of trial and agony]’? But it is for this [very] purpose that I have come to this hour [this time and place]. 28 [Rather, I will say,] ‘Father, glorify (honor, extol) Your name!’” Then a voice came from heaven saying, “I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.” 29 The crowd of people who stood nearby and heard the voice said that it had thundered; others said, “An angel has spoken to Him!” 30 Jesus answered, “This voice has come for your sake, not for mine. 31 Now judgment is upon this world [the sentence is being passed]. Now the ruler of this world (Satan) will be cast out.”
Several things here to meditate upon; Jesus was feeling what emotion?
He said His soul…that was His mind, will and emotions were troubled, deeply distressed. Did He become fearful? NO! Did He get anxious or worry or angry? NO! HE turned TO Heavenly Father like David did when he encouraged his soul… and Jesus reiterated HIS assignment and purpose for coming… He reminded Himself He didn’t come to “retreat” or “bail out” but to face it head on because Heavenly Father had a plan! SO, why do children of God want to “bail out” and “retreat” when JESUS didn’t!
HE submitted TO Father’s plan and told Him to glorify YOUR name! (REMEMBER JESUS name defined represents attributes of Heavenly Father!).
WHEN JESUS did this…what happened? THE FATHER responded and everyone heard it!
JESUS explained something we need to get RIGHT NOW…HE SAID THIS… “Judgement is upon this world, the sentence is being passed…” why? “Now the ruler of this world satan will be cast out”!
JESUS SAID THIS…so if you are troubled by this, take it up with the Father in Heaven! So Jesus commanding us later before ascending to Heaven has a whole new meaning when HE said to “cast out demons, heal the sick, raise the dead and preach (meaning demonstrate not just verbalize) the message of good news (KINGDOM OF HEAVEN)”, GOD’S PLAN because there is NO darkness in GOD I John 1:5 “5 This is the message [of God’s promised revelation] which we have heard from Him and now announce to you, that God is Light [He is holy, His message is truthful, He is perfect in righteousness], and in Him there is no darkness at all [no sin, no wickedness, no imperfection].”
What does this mean for you and me?? JESUS said a few other things… that we need to pay attention to RIGHT NOW!
When the disciples came back from their mission trip Jesus sent them on….what was their response and Jesus reply to them?
Let’s look at that: “17 The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” 18 He said to them, “I watched Satan fall from heaven like [a flash of] lightning. 19 Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice at this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.” Luke 10:17-20
HE saw satan fall like lightening…not referring to Ezekiel here…what was Jesus talking about then? WHEN the disciples went in to the places doing what JESUS instructed them to do, first to release Shalom (peace) and to heal the sick and say the Kingdom of God has come close to you. And He told them what to do if they are not received as well. (see verses 6-11). WHEN they went in and were received, the enemy foot holds and captivity there was broken. They were sent to homes that would affect the areas as well, possibly politically connected or religiously either way, the strongholds came down. The place where satan had set up a ruling spirit fell…..JESUS saw that!
Back to John 12 where Jesus said judgment had come and the devil was being kicked out!
JESUS was showing them and US how to walk…later HE said “HE had overcome the world and for us to be of good cheer”! For us to kick the devil out instead of tolerating him! NOT bash people but kick out the devil because the devil is under our feet and we have been GIVEN authority over him JESUS SAID SO! Luke 10:19 “19 Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you. ” Jesus did not retreat nor did HE have that mentality or teach it!
YET…so many are focusing upon things Jesus never told us to focus upon beloved! Dark stuff that only advertises for satan and even getting into agreement with his evil plans instead of GOD’S plan! THIS tactic of the devil IS A DISTRACTION not from God! IF you come to understand the love and goodness of our Heavenly Father then you will KNOW…HIS GLORY (demonstration of power and love not in word only but in full on manifestation) WILL BE ALL OVER THIS EARTH long before tribulations and perilous times come!
EACH generation had to battle this distraction the devil has used to keep people from walking in their assignments so they would “give up” pursuing what GOD had for them and instead focus on “getting out of here” and only winning souls without equipping and believing all the plans of the Heavenly Father!
There is more on this beloved but for now, please take time to “drink this in” and we will come back to this further because love is a huge key but not the world’s view of what love looks like and not even what many Christians think “love” should look like. That is for the next post.
